Very happy to have discovered this gem hidden along Holland Drive. I have been taught by other piano teachers before chancing upon Ms Nicol, so I can see that she is truly exceptional when it comes to imparting piano skills. She is passionate about teaching, and each lesson is packed with very useful tips. With her patience and dedication, she showed me how to pursue high standards without being critical. Very good value for money, I feel that I learned a lot and improved within a fairly short time. I am playing at Grade 8 while my husband is learning Grade 1, and both of us find Ms Nicol to be excellent. So I can confidently recommend her to anyone learning piano at any grade.

You get to learn to play real music in this school! This is not just about going through the notes, this place teaches you more than that! It is about playing the piano beautifully.
For beginners, you get a solid foundation right from the start. Where other teachers will just show you how to play, the teachers here teaches the significance behind each note. Music theory is also taught to me allowing a deeper understanding how certain things are derived.
On top of that there are also finger exercises on both hand to improve your hand eye coordination.
The pace is measured and the teacher is patient. Learning here makes you want to practice and be better. Lessons are structured to keep you motivated. I am learning piano in my forties and I must say lessons here makes me keep wanting to practice. Definitely value for money. I strongly recommend this place.

A big thank you for helping Jovan attain a MERIT in his Grade 8 practical exam. This came as a pleasant surprise as we were expecting just a “pass.”

You were his fourth piano teacher but the FIRST to coach with real passion to make sure your students excel. You had put in many extra hours to prepare him for his Grade 8 exam and even allowed him to use your available studio for self-practice. All these extras without even asking for extra payment of fees.

Within a span of 4 months, he had made tremendous improvements. From a fail grade to a merit in 4 months will not be possible if we did not find a dedicated teacher like you. Special mention to his “B” piece which was from “unfamiliar” to an almost perfect score!

If he had put in more effort into sight-reading, I am sure he would have scored even better. However, we are really pleased with his improvements in such a short span of time.

We are extremely glad to have found you. I am sure whoever is keen to pursue music will do well under your watching. For now, my younger child is enjoying every lesson with you and I am sure she will excel as well. My no. 3 will be there sometime soon too 🙂
